Tier I Info
Tier I hockey is the highest level of youth hockey in the United States, sanctioned by USA Hockey. It is designed for the most skilled and dedicated players, offering elite competition, advanced training, and exposure to high-level tournaments, scouts, and college or professional opportunities.
In Illinois, six Tier I clubs provide this top-level experience. Each operates under the guidance of AHAI and USA Hockey standards. These clubs form the foundation of elite youth hockey in the state, giving players the chance to develop in a highly competitive environment while preparing for the next levels of the game.
