Hockey is for Everyone
Hockey Is For Everyone (HIFE), formerly known as the Diversity Program, is supported by AHAI to provide young athletes from diverse social and economic backgrounds the chance to learn and grow through hockey. Each year, more than 200 athletes receive:
- Full equipment and ice time
- USA Hockey registration
- Instruction from a premier volunteer coaching staff
All at no cost to players or their families.
Our Goal
HIFE creates a safe and positive environment where athletes of all ages and skill levels can learn the game. The program emphasizes effort, teamwork, and respect over winning. Coaches encourage dedication, celebrate individual growth, and help players build confidence both on and off the ice.
Support
HIFE is one of nearly 40 programs across North America. Our program receives support from:
- Chicago Blackhawk Charities
- Amateur Hockey Association of Illinois
- National Hockey League
- Private donors and equipment drives led by the Illinois hockey community
Generous contributions of time, funding, and gently used gear keep the program strong.
