Member Organizations
Member Organizations across Illinois must register annually with AHAI and USA Hockey to be eligible for sanctioned play. Registration ensures consistency, player safety, and access to AHAI and USA Hockey programs, tournaments, and championships.

Registration Information
The USA Hockey membership year runs from September 1 through August 31. All USA Hockey registrations for the 2024–2025 season are valid until August 31, 2025.
- Spring/Summer Registration: Online registration for the 2025–2026 season begins April 1, 2025. Players with a valid 2024–2025 registration number may use that number for spring hockey through August 31, 2025.
- Fall Registration: Members who register on or after April 1, 2025 for the 2025–2026 season will not need to register again in the fall—their registration will remain valid through August 31, 2026.
- Cybersport Programs: The 2025–2026 Cybersport programs will be released to each organization’s registrar on May 1, 2025.
- Tier I Requirement: All Tier I organizations must use 2025–2026 USA Hockey member registration numbers and the 2025–2026 Cybersport program to form official rosters. Official USA Hockey rosters will be required for all Tier I teams at the time of team registration.
Becoming a Registered Organization
To become an official AHAI registered organization, it must:
- Register its players, coaches, and teams with USA Hockey.
- Submit organizational registration to AHAI through the registrar.
- Comply with AHAI rules and policies, including roster submission deadlines, adherence to player movement rules, and eligibility requirements.
- Maintain good standing by ensuring all participants meet USA Hockey safety, certification, and membership requirements.
