Try Hockey for Free
TRY HOCKEY FOR FREE – OCTOBER 3
Do you know a child ages 4-10 who has always wanted to try hockey? This is their chance!
The Chicago Blackhawks, AHAI and USA Hockey are teaming up for a statewide Try Hockey for Free Day on Saturday, October 3, at 25 participating locations across Illinois.
No hockey experience is necessary. Skates are provide. Participants must bring a helmet, bike helmets are fine!
Each participant will also receive:
- USA Hockey jersey to keep
- Hockey stick
- Blackhawks street hockey ball and stickers
- Exclusive Blackhawks ticket offer to a home game during the 2026-2027 season
- Information about local programs and how to keep playing
Plus, at each location, five new hockey families who register for a participating program will be eligible to receive a $100 gift card from Pure Hockey.
Registration is open August 21–September 21. Space is limited and varies by location.
