Girls Committee

The AHAI Girls Committee meets regularly during the season to support and strengthen girls’ hockey across Illinois. Guided by its mission, the committee works with girls’ organizations to educate families on all aspects of the sport and foster a collaborative hockey community. It serves as both a resource and advocate, helping organizations and families understand rules and regulations while emphasizing their importance in maintaining fairness, safety, and consistency. Frequently, the committee addresses questions about the intent of the rules and their application to specific situations that arise thus clarifying misconceptions about ways to bypass them reinforcing its role in promoting education, compliance, and the continued growth of girls’ hockey.
