Tier III Committee
The Tier III Committee oversees the structure and operation of Tier III hockey in Illinois, which includes House (“C”) and Travel (“B”) programs. Its role is to review and approve applications from organizations seeking Tier III status, set standards and eligibility rules, and ensure programs follow AHAI’s policies. The committee also monitors compliance, helps resolve disputes, and makes recommendations to the AHAI Board on issues that affect Tier III hockey statewide.
By guiding new applicants, setting clear expectations, and ensuring consistency across programs, the Tier III Committee works to maintain fair, accessible, and development-focused opportunities for players and families entering organized hockey.
