Suspension Review Committee
The Suspension & Review Committee reviews serious on-ice penalties, including match penalties that involve actions posing physical or emotional danger to players. Its purpose is to keep the game safe and fair by examining incidents, enforcing consequences, and providing education when needed.
The committee meets as required, usually monthly, and works closely with Member Organizations to reach fair decisions. Possible outcomes include suspensions, probation, or educational requirements such as anger management. While decisions follow USA Hockey guidelines, they may be appealed to AHAI leadership through the Appeals Committee.
