GIRLS COLLEGE NIGHT TOPICS & INFORMATION

  • What can I do now to get my name and skills in front of college coaches?
  • What to expect as a college athlete
  • The importance of nutrition at the college level
  • Injury prevention & rehab
  • Other opportunities in hockey for women: coaching, officiating, etc.

Discussions will focus on resources and ideas that girls can use to ensure college coaches and scouts know they are out there. What are colleges looking for in a player from skills and grades to character. Colleges coaches & former players will be there to answer questions, as well as a representative from IHOA to share information on how becoming an official can be rewarding both on and off the ice. Guest speakers will be announced soon!

  • The Finances of Playing Beyond High School
  • Student Coaching and Coaching Opportunities
  • Officiating: Earn Money While You Skate
  • America's Showcase High School Team

We will discuss the importance of keeping your grades up, cost of playing hockey after high school and how to prepare for these opportunities. IHOA will be available to meet with players to help them understand what it takes to become an official as well as the financial and personal benefits of donning the stripes. 

After the seminar, several colleges will be on hand to meet players and discuss their specific programs. Guest speakers will be announced soon!

Parents are encouraged to attend College Night! Only Players are required to register.
