Hockey Life After High School

A glimpse into the options available for the female hockey player

The AHAI Girls Committee is proud to present this Hockey Life After High School Packet.  The packet begins with a mini checklist & from there you’ll find a list of Colleges/Universities offering women’s teams competing at the NCAA D3 & ACHA D1 & D2. Information is given on how to become an Official, which is a great part-time job, to the athlete’s nutrition plate, commentary from previous athletes, and guidance on what college coaches look for in student players.

We hope you find this packet helpful in your journey to stay part of the game you loved playing as a youngster.

See you around the rinks!

Thank you

2022-2023 Girls Committee Presents Educational Mini - Webinars/Tutorials

These webinars/tutorials are approximately 15-20 minutes in length or simply a power point that may be downloaded or printed.  These mini- webinars/tutorials are not just for the female hockey player & some should be incorporated into everyday life

Topics: Choice & Player Movement rules including Substitution Choices & Coach Movement, Officiating, Concussions & Brain Health, Nutrition, Mental Health & the Young Athlete.

If there are other topics you would like educational information on, please contact Anita Lichterman at girls@ahai2.org & we’ll do our best to bring them to you.

Hockey is a great outlet for our daughters & they will have a greater experience when we all develop a better understanding of the various dynamics of the sport. We all should be developing our young athlete’s minds & bodies in addition to their skills.

We hope you find them informative.

Thank you
